Strangford Access & Directions

Access is via a working estate and care and respect must be given to all livestock.

The entrance to the beat can be found on GOOGLE MAPS by searching 'Brockhampton Fishery - Strangford'.

The access track to the riverbank is through the gate signed 'Strangford' next to the pond and opposite Fawley Court.

Proceed approximately half a mile at a MAX SPEED OF 15 MPH to the next gate (Please take notice of the manure storage area to the right of the track, as during poor weather and when cattle are grazed in the lower field you will be required to park here).

Once continuing through the gate you must stop at the top of the field to assess your access down to the bottom gate which is located on upermost of the beat. If you are driving a standard vehicle with normal road height you must park at the top of the field making sure farm vehicles can retain access to other parts of the estate. If there are cattle grazing then you cannot park within the field and you must return to the aforementioned manure area, where you must park without causing obstruction to the track or gateways.

Only continue through the field if you have a suitable 4WD vehicle with enough clearance to negotiate deep ruts that will contain water. You must not deviate from this main track as these ruts contain hard core that will assist your ability to drive up/down the field.

You must park immediately after going though the bottom gate and walk to your chosen swim. NO VEHICLES must be driven past this point.

All gates must be closed with double hooks.

Failure to abide by these requests will result in you being asked to leave the fishery without refund.
